Try to find another 512 to put in there Leon. You'll need it for NWN2 it seems. Most people in the NWN2 forums are stating that NWN2 runs like Oblivion in regards to system requirements/chugginess. Nowadays, you'll need 1 gig of ram at least to get the most out of games. And some badly coded games (Gothic 3) require even more.

I actually got Oblivion to run well on my computer, even with my old 128 MB graphics card. Admittedly, I had to sacrifice more quality than I would have liked, but at least it was smooth and the load times for even the largest areas were usually under 15 seconds.

I'll probably pick up some more RAM on Friday (payday). I do already have a 256 MB RAM thing somewhere, but I'm not sure where I put it. Might have put it in my mom's computer for her.

Better wait for the 8800GTS or GTX, both are due Nov 8th. significantly better and faster. And about the same price.

I'm currently running

P4 2.4 Ghz
1 gig ram
9800 pro 128 mb

Needless to say I have all graphics settings at low, and surprisingly, it runs smoothly. I don't know if I'll be able to upgrade my PC, and my mobo is only AGP 4x (no PCIe). I am concidering a 7600GS with 512mb, AGP, as that's probably the best AGP card I can get. Any thoughts? Now that I see some of the screenies, I feel like I'm missing out. But being that I have a slow processor, and AGP 4x (not 8x) is it even worth it? Or do I just wait for a year or so and maybe get a new PC at some point?

Dude. Ditch AGP. It's such a pain in the ass. So many more opportunities with PCI-E!

Yeah... unfortuantely, you won't see many more AGP cards coming out anytime soon. It may cost a fair amount, but consider grabbing a PCI-E mobo. It's the best investment I've ever made, by far.

I finally got around to get my new desktop gear:

Asus P5N32-E SLI nVidia 680i
E6700 CPU 2.66GHz
4x 1GB Corsair XMS² 800Mhz
nVidia 8800 GTX
2x WD Raptor 150GB SATA

All of the above is watercooled.

The new display is a 30" HP LP3065 with 2560x1600 native resolution.

I hate you, Sen.

In my day, we didn't need displays bigger than 15 inches...and if they had more than one color, we were amazed...
